At PlayStation's June State of Play, Capcom gave us our first glimpse at Street Fighter 6's gameplay and the rest of the lineup.
The trailer previewed what appears to be a new logo as well as several legendary Street Fighter characters.
Capcom announced the three new modes after the reveal: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
Arcade Mode, Training Mode, local vs clashes, and internet matches will all be available once again.
Details on the lineup and Battle Hub will be announced at a later date, according to Capcom.
World Tour, on the other hand, will be the single-player story option in Street Fighter 6 that "pushes the boundaries of what a fighting game is and allows players to leave their own legacy with their player avatar," according to the press release.
The Drive System, which Capcom defines as "a new gauge utilised to perform five separate tactics to increase a player's offensive or defensive skills," will be included in Street Fighter 6.
Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive Art, Drive Rush, and Drive Reversal are some of the techniques available.
Capcom also teased the "Real Time Comments Feature," which would include commentary from FGC commentators like Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez, Aru, and others, promising "real-time feedback and a fresh perspective."
Street Fighter 6 will be released in 2023 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One X and S, and PC, and will be created with Capcom's RE Engine.
