WWE Reportedly Has Interest In Top Bellator MMA Star
Another member of the "American Top Team" is making the crossover from mixed martial arts to professional wrestling, much like Paige VanZant did recently in All Elite Wrestling.
However, instead of joining All Elite, the Bellator MMA star is joining WWE.
If she hasn't already, Bellator MMA star Valerie Loureda is set to sign with WWE soon, according to a new story from "Fightful."
When Loureda travelled to the WWE Performance Center for a week-long tryout recently, she made "excellent impressions."
According to reports, the signing hasn't been finalised yet, but if it is, she would most likely report to the WWE Performance Center in July.
Loureda, like VanZant, has been training with Gangrel and others in preparation for a future in the ring.
Loureda, 23, has a 4-1 professional fighting record, with her most recent victory coming in a Bellator MMA "271" split decision over Taylor Turner.
According to the article, if she accepts the WWE contract, her contract with Bellator will be frozen.
She will be able to compete with the organisation again if WWE releases her.
Steve Bruno, King Mo, Mike Brown, and Jesus Gallo served as head coaches for the young yet potential boxer.
She has been trained in taekwondo since she was two years old and holds a black belt.
She's won multiple honours in her favourite martial art throughout her career, including the gold medal at the US Open.
